  • Day 1 Stratford-Upon -Avon

  • Day 2 Christmas Eve Stratford-Upon-Avon
  • Today we'll head off on a tour of Stratford-upon-Avon in the company of a Local Guide. Beautiful at any time of year, Stratford is utterly magical when its medieval streets are decorated with sparkling lights at Christmas.
Our first stop is William Shakespeare's birthplace, a low-ceilinged, half-timbered house. Inside you can enter the parlour, hall, workshop and bedchambers, all of which are furnished as they would have been back in the 16th century.
Next, take a walk along the promenade next to the River Avon to see the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Holy Trinity Church, where Shakespeare is buried. Your tour comes to an end this afternoon at Anne Hathaway's Cottage. This thatched farmhouse, where the young Shakespeare courted his future bride, contains many original items of furniture. In this fantastic setting we'll enjoy a warming glass of mulled wine and a mince pie.
If you'd like to attend midnight mass tonight, you'll be spoilt for choice as there are plenty of lovely churches in the town.
  • Day 3 Christmas Day Stratford-Upon-Avon
  • It's Christmas Day, so enjoy a relaxed morning before heading to the hotel's restaurant for a festive Christmas lunch with all the trimmings. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. This evening a light buffet will be served alongside an evening of great entertainment.

  • Day 4 Boxing Day Warwick Castle
  • Enjoy breakfast at leisure before we head out on an included trip to Warwick Castle, built in 1068 on the orders of William the Conqueror. Journey back more than 1,000 years as we wander along the battlements and explore the interior of one of the most complete medieval fortresses in Britain. Entertainment is also put on in the grounds of the castle too, with the incredible birds of prey display one of its most popular highlights.
  • Day 5 Stratford-Upon-Avon
  • You can take breakfast at your leisure this morning, before checking out of the hotel and making your way home. If you want to discover more of lovely Stratford-upon-Avon, you can leave your luggage at the hotel and head off to explore.
