  • Today you'll depart on your scheduled flight to Havana. You can get to know your fellow travellers over a drink this evening.
  • DAY 2 Havana
  • Havana is Cuba's capital and the largest city in the Caribbean. On today's tour we'll see well-preserved American Chevrolets and Cadillacs rolling through streets lined by fading colonial buildings. It's like stepping back in time!
We'll also discover Old Havana, where we'll see the Plaza de Armas, the old Presidential Palace and Cathedral Square.
  • DAY 3 Havana
  • Today we include a visit to the lush Vinales Valley and a tour of the lovely city of Pinar del Rio, with lunch included.
  • DAY 4 Guardalavaca
  • We'll fly to Holguin today and transfer on arrival to Guardalavaca, a tropical paradise, where we'll stay for two nights.
After checking into our hotel, there's plenty of time to laze on the white-sand beach, which is fringed by swaying palms and washed by crystal-clear waters.
  • DAY 5 Guardalavaca
  • There is a chance to see more of Guardalavaca today on an optonal visit to the native Indian necropolis of Chorro de Maita.
  • DAY 6 Santiago de Cuba
  • A scenic drive through the Sierra Maestra Mountains to Santiago de Cuba is a real highlight this morning. Castillo del Morro, a magnificent castle at the entrance to the bay, is now a UNESCO-listed site, which we will visit before our tour of Santiago.
  • DAY 7 Santiago de Cuba
  • Granjita Siboney Museum was once a humble farmhouse. From here Fidel Castro made plans for the Revolution and with that confirmed the building's significance in history. We call at the museum this morning to discover more about the events that unfolded from here and the way they shaped Cuba.
Santiago de Cuba is a colourful and intriguing town. Take the afternoon to explore in the company of your fellow travellers. As you stroll through the town you're sure to hear sultry salsa beats at every turn.
For a first-hand taste of the island's melodic sounds we visit the popular Casa de la Trova, where locals sing and play passionate rhythms.
  • DAY 8 Camaguey
  • The drive to the Camaguey area takes us through small villages and cattle farming regions. We will pause at Bayamo for a look around and a visit the quaint church of 'El Cobre'.
  • DAY 9 Trinidad
  • The route to Trinidad takes us via the picturesque town of Sancti Spiritus, which we will explore.
  • DAY 10 Trinidad
  • From the cobbled streets to the pretty Plaza Mayor, Trinidad's centre is lovely and compact. There is so much to discover in this UNESCO-listed city, and today's tour will take in the main sights.
  • DAY 11 Trinidad & Cienfuegos
  • The Botanical Gardens have been run by the government since 1961 and are one of the largest in Latin America, with over 2,000 different species of plants. We will spend time here before continuing to Cienfuegos for a short sightseeing tour.
  • DAY 12 Santa Clara
  • Santa Clara, halfway between the north and south coasts, was a strategic site during the War of Independence and the Revolution. Join us on an optional excursion to the city, where you will see Che Guevara's Memorial and the Plaza de la Revolution.
Alternatively, take time to explore more of Cienfuegos or simply enjoy the facilities at your hotel.
  • DAY 13 Havana
  • We will leave Cienfuegos today and head back to Havana, where we'll stay tonight.
  • DAY 14 Havana
  • Today has been left free so you can discover more of Havana independently or in the company of your fellow travellers.
