Itinerary

  • Day 1 UK to Cologne
  • You'll fly to Cologne or Dusseldorf Airport today, where you'll board your ship this afternoon in Cologne. Perhaps head ashore to explore in the company of your fellow travellers. This picturesque city, with an historic centre, is located on both sides of the Rhine and is home to a magnificent twin-spired cathedral.
Back on board early this afternoon, gather with your travelling companions and meet the ship's captain and crew as you enjoy a drinks reception after dinner.
  • Day 2 Antwerp
  • Today the ship sails to Antwerp, Belgium's second-largest city and the capital of the province of Flanders. During an afternoon at leisure why not step ashore to discover its charms independently or in the company of your travelling companions. Impressive architecture, cobbled streets, modern shopping centres and a host of cafés, as well as bars selling Belgian beer, make it a joy to explore. The city is also renowned for its diamonds, trading in these precious gems for centuries.
  • Day 3 Antwerp
  • On a further day spent in Antwerp why not join our optional tour, which will introduce you to all its highlights. We'll head to the Grot Market, the city's compact main square, which is surrounded by impressive architecture, including the 16th century City Hall. Admire the monumental Brabo Fountain, the square's stunning centerpiece, and the elegant Guild Houses. A must-see is the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedral, the Cathedral of Our Lady, which dominates Antwerp's skyline and houses a number of work by Rubens.
  • Day 4 Amsterdam
  • Today we arrive in Amsterdam, a charming, multicultural city criss-crossed with a picturesque network of canals. Why not join an optional tour, which will introduce its highlights. From Dam Square to the famous flower market and world-class museums, there is so much to discover.
  • Day 5 Düsseldorf
  • We arrive in Düsseldorf today, the capital of North Rhine. If you join an optional excursion by bus you will see landmarks including the Renaissance town hall, the splendid courtyard garden, whose oldest parts were created in the 18th century, and the famous Königsallee, also called 'Kö'.
After your tour you can take in wonderful views over the city from the Rhine Tower, which at 240.5 metres tall, is the largest building in the city and also boasts the biggest decimal clock in the world.
  • Day 6 Cologne to UK
  • Today we'll disembark the ship in Cologne and transfer you to Cologne or Dusseldorf airport for our flight back to the UK.
