  • Day 1 UK to Munich/Engelhartszell
  • Today you will fly to Munich and transfer to the Austrian city of Engelhartzsell, which lies on the border with Germany. Here you'll board your river cruiser and meet your travelling companions at a welcome drinks reception. ​
  • Day 2 Vienna
  • ​You'll want to take your place on deck early this morning as you cruise the Wachau Valley in Austria. Relax and take in the spellbinding views as we wind our way along the Danube past monasteries and castles, villages and vineyards.  

    We arrive in Vienna, the capital of Austria, this afternoon. A diverse city with a rich imperial history, Vienna boasts an array of intriguing architecture and this afternoon's optional city tour will introduce you to many impressive sights. Travelling along the Ringstrasse – an elegant boulevard – we'll see the famous Vienna State Opera, the Parliament building, City Hall and the Museum of Fine Arts. We'll continue on to Prater, home of the city's Giant Ferris Wheel and admire the colourful façade of the Hundertwasser House, before taking in the panoramic views from the gardens of the Belvedere Palace. ​

  • Day 3 Vienna
  • ​On our optional tour of Vienna today, you'll have the chance to step inside the Schönbrunn Palace, an architectural masterpiece which was built in the late 17th century to rival Versailles. 
  • Day 4 Linz
  • This afternoon, why not join us on an optional walking excursion through Linz, the European Capital of Culture in 2009. You will see highlights including the Mozarthaus, the renaissance building in which Mozart composed some of his famous works, and the Old Cathedral. Constructed in the 17th century, the cathedral contains an organ designed by Anton Bruckner.
  • Day 5 Engelhartszell/Munich to UK
  • ​Your cruise comes to an end today as you disembark your ship and transfer to Munich for your flight back to the UK. ​
