Description

Enjoy a picturesque cruise, setting off from Windsor on the River Thames, with free time to enjoy this famous town, home to Windsor Castle, a residence of the British Royal Family. A stunning three days away, with included visits to two beautiful towns on the River Thames, Henley-on-Thames, and Marlow, both overlooked by the spectacular Chiltern Hills and set amongst rich meadows and green woodland.

Itinerary

Henley-on-Thames

From a morning pickup in your local area, we travel toHenley-on-Thames, a popular destination for shopping and culture, with plenty of independent shops, cafes, and restaurants. In the summer, Henley hosts one of the most famous international sporting events in the calendar, the Henley Royal Regatta, which attracts thousands of visitors over five days in July. Expect to see Olympians at this event, which sees over 200 races and is televised across the world.

Windsor River Cruise & Windsor (full day)

Today’s excursion takes us to Windsor, situated on the River Thames and most famous for Windsor Castle, one of the official residences of His Majesty The King and the British Royal Family. We start the day with a relaxing river cruise, which offers excellent views of Windsor Castle and Eton College, passing through Boveney Lock and Sutherland Grange. After our cruise, we have free time to explore Windsor’s cobbled streets and many beautiful buildings. There is also a wealth of museums and galleries, historic places of interest, and high-end bars and restaurants.

Marlow

After breakfast, we check out of our hotel and make our way to Marlow, considered one of the loveliest locations on the River Thames. Marlow is situated between Henley-on-Thames and Windsor. The centre has many historic buildings, shops, wine bars, and pubs which all contribute to a lively, yet charming town. We rejoin the coach in the afternoon and continue our journey home.
