Leaving the hotel late morning, we head to the vibrant seaside town of Ryde, where a long sandy beach, elegant seafront and bustling town centre make for a great day out. Enjoy free time to explore at your own pace, perhaps taking a stroll along the famous pier, relaxing in a waterfront café or browsing the town’s independent shops. With sweeping views across the Solent and plenty of traditional seaside character, Ryde is one of the Isle of Wight's most appealing coastal destinations.

Experience the best of the Isle of Wight on our optional Island Highlights tour. Enjoy a photo stop at Alum Bay for spectacular views of the famous Needles before travelling through some of the island’s most picturesque scenery. Spend time in Newport, the island’s vibrant county town, then visit the historic harbour town of Yarmouth, where attractive waterfront views, independent shops and a welcoming atmosphere make for a delightful end to the day.

We visit the seaside resort of Shanklin, where there is time to enjoy its traditional coastal appeal. Wander through the picturesque Old Village, browse the independent shops and cafés, or take a stroll along the seafront and enjoy views across the sandy beach. With its relaxed atmosphere and classic holiday feel, Shanklin is a delightful place to spend a few hours.

After breakfast, we check out of the hotel and board the coach for the journey home.

The Norton Grange Coastal Village is situated on the Isle of Wight’s west coast near Yarmouth. The excellent accommodation is chalet-style and the complex also boasts a huge range of leisure facilities including a games room, indoor heated swimming pool, sauna and bubble pool. There is also a full entertainment programme.
