Tuscany Coast & Pisa Inclusive

Tuscany… just hearing the word conjures up thoughts of culture, history and unspoilt Italian scenery filled with rolling hills and romantic vineyards. On this inspiring nine-day getaway, we escape to the Tuscan coast to bask in the beauty of this stunning region and visit the storied cities of Lucca, Florence and Pisa, where we can explore the mesmerising architecture and charming ambience of these classic gems.

We board our ferry to Calais and stay overnight in France on a bed and breakfast basis.

After checking out of our hotel we travel onwards to our main hotel in Tuscany, arriving in time for dinner.

We start the day in Pisa, one of Tuscany’s most popular destinations. Here we have time to explore the history hidden around every corner of this ancient city as well as the chance to take in Pisa’s must-see sights including the world-famous leaning tower.

Later we travel to the city of Lucca, celebrated for its intact Renaissance walls enclosing a cobbled centre in classic Roman grid-iron fashion. During our time here we can soak up the welcoming atmosphere that this Italian city has to offer.

Today we visit the picturesque Tuscan town of San Gimignano. Cameras at the ready for the stunning medieval city walls and 14 sky-scraping towers which punctuate the hilltop setting and can be seen for miles.

On our optional excursion we take the opportunity to spend a day in Siena, a beautifully preserved hilltop city surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, best known for its Palio horse race which takes place each summer in the Piazza del Campo.

Today’s exciting excursion takes us to Florence, one of Italy’s most charming destinations where we can take our time to absorb all the beauty and culture of this historic city. Just some of the highlights include the Palazzo Vecchio, Giotti’s Bell Tower and the Ponte Vecchio, Florence’s lovely ‘Old Bridge’, which is still occupied by gold and silversmiths today.

Travel to our overnight hotel in France, with a light evening meal included.

Continue to Calais for our return ferry home.

Simply bring along your smartphone or iPad and enjoy this entertainment interruption-free, with the use of our extra reliable Wi-Fi, free to all passengers and a handy USB port at each seat.

The layout of the JG Explorer includes a floor-level, rear-mounted kitchen with a sink, an espresso machine to purchase delicious Nespresso coffee, dispensed by your driver during comfort breaks, and a fridge stocked with cold drinks and milk. Customers are welcome to help themselves to complimentary JG bottles, that can be used for refill at the built-in cold-water filter, cutting down on the need for disposable plastic bottles and doing our part for the environment.

The welcoming Hotel Scandinavia is located near the popular beaches of Marina di Massa on the Tuscan coast. The en-suite bedrooms feature satellite TV, free Wi-Fi and a mini bar, and the hotel also offers a restaurant.

Nestled in the picturesque town of Diano Marina, the Nettuno Hotel offers stunning sea views, comfortable accommodations, and friendly service. The en-suite rooms feature a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and tea and coffee-making facilities while the hotel’s other facilities include a restaurant and a bar.
