We also take in the stunning Rosslyn Chapel, its spectacularly crafted interiors and breathtaking location atop a hill overlooking Roslin Glen have made it a must-see fixture of the Scottish landscape across the world. There’s even a chance to enjoy a tour of the border towns, where the natural beauty of the local scenery blends with these sleepy settlements, to complete this captivating exploration of one of the UK’s most distinctive regions.

Included Excursions
Edinburgh (full day)
We enjoy time at leisure in Edinburgh, dominated by the iconic castle perched high above Scotland’s vibrant capital city. From the picturesque sights of the old town, the sprawl of attractions on the Royal Mile and the grandeur of George Street, with its many boutique shops, cafés and restaurants, there’s a wealth of things to do.
Peebles & Rosslyn Chapel (full day)
We start the day with a journey to the beautiful Rosslyn Chapel, made famous by its inclusion in the worldwide-hit novel The Da Vinci Code and featured in the Hollywood movie of the same name. This enigmatic chapel dates back to the 15th century and is surrounded by the gorgeous sights of Roslin Glen.
Later we continue on to the border town of Peebles, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the River Tweed. Here we enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of this pretty little town and take in the inspiring local views of the rolling green hills and the sleepy river.
Optional Excursion
Border Towns (Selkirk, Moffat & Biggar) – £13pp (full day)
A tour of the highlights of the border towns awaits us on our optional excursion.
We start our day in Selkirk, an attractive town famed for its medieval market place and filled with old mills and buildings from the town’s past as a centre of the textile and shoemaking industries. We take some time to explore this ancient town before moving onto the charming Moffat whose nearby hills are a Conservation Area dedicated to preserving the beautiful natural landscape. This vibrant town has a rich history, the details of which are on display at the local Moffat Museum which we have time to explore during our visit. Our final stop is the market town of Biggar where we have time to discover the lovely rural scenery of this quaint town as well as historical sites such as the New Lanark Mill and Stobo Castle.
