Scarborough is the perfect destination for a long weekend away, beloved for its pretty beaches, fabulous attractions and classic charm! On this delightful break we enjoy fun-filled entertainment at our hotel, one of the resort’s most famous landmarks. We also venture to the seaside town of Whitby and the historic city of York, where highlights include the twisting streets of the ‘Shambles’, the stunning York Minster and much more.

Whitby(half day)

Our first half-day excursiontakes usto the charming coastal town of Whitby, famed for its connection to Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Wander around the quirky streets and the picturesque harbour before tackling the climb up to the atmospheric ruined abbey perched on the cliffs above the town.

York (half day)

We enjoy a half-day excursion to York, where the iconic York Minster boasts world-famous stained-glass windows and a status as the largest Gothic cathedral in northern Europe. Other highlights include the narrow, cobbled streets of the ‘Shambles’, where the buildings date back to medieval times, the National Railway Museum, the Jorvik Centre which tells the story of York’s Viking heritage and the ancient walls which surround the city. No trip to York is complete without a visit to the famous Betty’s tea rooms too!
