Coach Itinerary
Included Excursions
Whitby (half day)
Our first half-day excursion takes us to the charming coastal town of Whitby, famed for its connection to Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Wander around the quirky streets and the picturesque harbour before tackling the climb up to the atmospheric ruined abbey perched on the cliffs above the town.
Beverley (half day)
For our second half-day excursion we head to the pretty market town of Beverley, one of Yorkshire’s best kept secrets. The 13th-century Minster is well worth a visit, with its medieval stone carvings and stained glass. The town’s rich heritage is reflected in the historic buildings, cobbled streets and charming courtyards, and there are also quaint boutiques, cosmopolitan cafés and traditional pubs for you to enjoy.
Optional Excursion
York – £13pp (full day)
Why not join an optional full day excursionto York? The iconic York Minster is worth a few hours alone, thanks to its world-famous stained glass windows and status as the largest Gothic cathedral in northern Europe. Other highlights include the narrow cobbled streets of the ‘Shambles’, where the buildings date back to medieval times, the National Railway Museum, the Jorvik Centre – which tells the story of York’s Viking heritage – and the ancient walls which surround the city. No trip to York is complete without a visit to the famous Betty’s tea rooms too!
