Itinerary

Day 1 – Flight to Paris, France & embarkation
Fly to Paris in France and transfer to the A-ROSA VIVA in Paris for the start of our festive Seine cruise. A wealth of cities, towns and landscapes awaits as we head off to explore Normandy. There’s also the opportunity to get acquainted with the French joie de vivre, of course.

Day 2 – Rouen
As well as being the capital of Normandy, Rouen was formerly one of the largest and most prosperous cities of medieval Europe, which we can see clearly in the wealth of museums, Gothic architecture and breathtaking historic buildings including many half-timbered houses lining the cobbled streets. One remarkable treasure is the Gros Horloge, an astronomical clock dating back to the 14th century, consisting of a Gothic belfry, a Renaissance dial and a Louis XV fountain.

Day 3 – Mantes-la-Jolie
This is a place where history was made. Henry IV of France wooed his mistress Gabrielle d’Estrées here, and from then on Mantes became Mantes-la-Jolie – ‘Mantes the beautiful’. Located just 50 kilometres from Paris, the city lies directly on the bank of the Seine. The town’s main monument is the church of Notre-Dame which dates back to the 12th century.

Day 4 – Paris
Having arrived back in Paris the previous evening, we spend Christmas Day exploring the fantastic sights of France’s capital city. With its elegant boulevards, iconic buildings and fabulous parks, Paris is always a feast for the eyes, but as darkness falls on Christmas evenings, the city becomes overwhelmingly beautiful.

Day 5 – Disembarkation & flight home from Paris
We disembark in Paris and transfer back to the airport for our flight home.

Optional Excursions
A range of optional excursions is bookable on-board; from tours through metropolises and trips through impressive landscapes to action-packed and fun-filled excursions. In many cities you have the opportunity to visit the country and its people with a personal guide and driver. Your on-board host will happily provide you with more information.
