Recently restored to her original 1940s style, the impressive towering funnels and timber decks of the Waverley Paddle Steamer provide a magnificent venue to take in the iconic sights of London from a different perspective, even passing under Tower Bridge which opens up to allow our passage through, as we enjoy a scenic cruise along the famous river Thames. With free time in the city also included, this is an unmissable experience to see the best of London.
Coach Itinerary
Saturday: From a morning pickup in your local area, we travel by coach to London for some free time to enjoy the capital at your leisure. From a trip on the London Eye and a spot of retail therapy on Oxford Street to a stroll through Hyde Park, there is plenty to do. Later our coach transfers us to our hotel outside London for our overnight stay.
Sunday: After an early breakfast, we check out of the hotel and travel into central London where we board the Paddle Steamer Waverley, the world’s last seagoing, passenger-carrying paddle steamer, for our leisurely 3-and-a-half-hour cruise. Experience the roar of the mighty engines as we take in the superb views of all the capital’s iconic landmarks from one of the world’s most storied rivers. We dock in Southend where we spend some time at leisure before we rejoin the coach in the mid-afternoon for the journey home.
