Description
Get swept away on an incredible break that combines the nostalgic charm of the Paddle Steamer Waverley and the historic scenery of the capital, on this two-day break to London. Restored to her original 1940s style, the impressive towering funnels and timber decks of the Paddle Steamer Waverley provide a magnificent venue to take in the iconic sights of London from a different perspective. We even pass through Tower Bridge, as we enjoy a scenic cruise along the famous River Thames. With free time in the city included, this is an unmissable experience to see the best of London.
Itinerary (Coach)
Saturday
From a morning pickup in your local area, we travel by coach to London for some free time in the capital. From a trip on the London Eye and a spot of retail therapy on Oxford Street to a stroll through Hyde Park, there is plenty to do. Later our coach transfers us to our hotel outside London for our overnight stay.
Sunday
After an early breakfast, we check out of the hotel and travel into central London where we board the Waverley, the world’s last seagoing, passenger-carrying paddle steamer, for our leisurely cruise. Experience the roar of the mighty engines as we take in the superb views of the capital’s iconic landmarks. We dock in Southend, where we have some time at leisure before we rejoin the coach in the mid-afternoon for the journey home.

JG3
Hotels with a JG3 rating tend to be a more formal style of hotel, often part of a hotel chain, or are very-welcoming family-owned properties. Generally, they offer a greater range of facilities and services, and bedrooms tend to be a little more spacious with additional features. Public areas are larger and include lounge seating, bar and restaurant with good quality food served either buffet style or waiter service.
