Itinerary
Included Excursions
Clovelly (full day)
After breakfast at our hotel, we take a journey back in time to the ancient and picturesque fishing village, Clovelly, where we can venture up and down the cobbled streets, taking in the views across Bideford Bay or have a beverage at the famous 18th-century Red Lion Inn. Clinging to a 400-foot cliff, Clovelly is famous for being completely vehicle-less, with local supplies being delivered by donkey, sledge or on foot.
Afterwards, we journey to the harbour town of Bideford, where we enjoy free time to discover this town’s delightful sights; it’s the perfect place for a spot of retail therapy and a relaxing time outdoors.
Coastal Towns Tour (full day)
We travel to the coast for the highlight of our trip, a tour of seaside towns, starting with Combe Martin. Nestled on the edge of Exmoor, the town offers stunning views, a peaceful cove and a picturesque harbour. We have time to enjoy this beautiful setting before making our way to our second stop, Ilfracombe, the well-known seaside resort which features a small harbour surrounded by cliffs. Here we can experience the local charm and hospitality at the local independent craft shops or take a walk around the harbour to find a peaceful spot to relax. Afterwards, we depart for Woolacombe, famous for its award-winning beach and the perfect final stop on this wonderful day exploring the coast.
Optional Excursion
Barnstaple- £11pp (half day)
Join our optional excursion where we visit the historic town of Barnstaple, one of the UK’s oldest boroughs, and famous for the Pannier Market, one of the Britain’s largest indoor markets. Since Saxon times, Barnstaple has served as a market town to the surrounding countryside. Prepare for a unique shopping experience with everything from local produce, flowers and crafts, to prints, pictures and fashion on offer.
