Make this New Year one to remember on the south coast of England, and enjoy everything that Hampshire has to offer. Our hotel set in acres of landscaped grounds hosts the celebration with entertainment every evening and a delicious Hogmanay dinner on the big night to see in 2023! With included visits to the idyllic New Forest countryside, and medieval Winchester, you won’t want to miss Winchester Cathedral all decked out for the festive season.

Itinerary

30^th December

After joining the coach, we make our way to our hotel and check in.

New Year’s Eve – Winchester

After breakfast we make our way to Winchester, known for the medieval cathedral, and The Great Hall of Winchester Castle. Built in the 12^th century, the castle houses the medieval round table associated with King Arthur. Originally unpainted, the names of the original knights were written around the edge of the table by King Henry VIII in 1552. Wander through the winding streets and enjoy the designer treasure troves, chic boutiques and galleries on offer.

New Year’s Day – New Forest & Bournemouth

Our New Year begins with a scenic drive through the New Forest, England’s smallest National Park, famous for its tranquil ambience and free roaming ponies. We stop at the pretty village of Brockenhurst with its olde-worlde charm, independent shops and quaint cafés. We continue to the seaside, where we visit the traditional resort of Bournemouth. Boasting seven miles of golden sands and a historic pier, this is the perfect place for a stroll to blow away the cobwebs! 

2^nd January

After breakfast, we check out of our hotel and head for home.

Hotels with a JG3 rating tend to be a more formal style of hotel, often part of a hotel chain, with a greater range of facilities and services. Bedrooms are a little more spacious and have additional features. Public areas are larger and include lounge seating, a bar and restaurant with good quality food served either buffet style or with waiter service.

Situated near Southampton, the Meon Valley hotel is set in 225 acres of landscaped grounds, complete with two championship golf courses. The hotel itself features two bars, two restaurants plus elegant rooms with tea and coffee-making facilities and a flat-screen TV. Leisure facilities include an indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and gym (small charge applies).
