Itinerary (Coach)
Included Excursions
Cromer, Sheringham & the North Norfolk Railway (full day)
We head first to Cromer and Sheringham. Cromer is a classic resort on the north Norfolk coast famous for its tasty crabs and boasting wide open beaches and a traditional pier. Originally a small north Norfolk fishing village, Sheringham is now a popular seaside town with a sandy beach, seafront promenade and a diverse range of shops. Don’t forget to have some classic fish and chips!
In the afternoon we board our train on the heritage North Norfolk Railway (also known as the Poppy Line) for a spectacularly scenic journey from Sheringham to Holt, passing through a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Bure Valley Railway & Mississippi Paddle Steamer Cruise (full day)
We experience a nostalgic trip on the heritage Bure Valley Railway, Norfolk’s longest narrow gauge railway, from Aylsham to Wroxham, meandering through the pretty Bure Valley countryside. After free time in Wroxham, with its pretty riverside walks and gentle waters, we travel by coach to the picturesque village of Horning. Here we embark on a memorable cruise along the Norfolk Broads on the Mississippi Paddle Steamer, passing lovely thatched cottages, windmills, ancient churches and reed beds while spotting some of the area’s unique wildlife along the way.
