On this delightful weekend away, we enjoy comfortable hotel accommodation in our base of Sandown as well as a fabulous excursion to Newport and the chance to visit some of the island’s highlights.

For our included half-day excursion we enjoy a visit the bustling capital of the island, Newport. This picturesque town centres on two squares surrounded by elegant Georgian and Victorian architecture. Explore the historic quayside or browse the selection of speciality shops here.
Optional Excursion
Island Highlights tour – £14pp (full day)
There’s also the chance to join an optional Island Highlights tour, taking in many of the island’s sights including the seaside resort of Ryde, Cowes – home of the famous yachting regatta, the historic port town of Yarmouth, Alum Bay’s colourful sands, rocky outcrop ‘The Needles’ and the pretty resort of Ventnor.

The Channel View Hotel is well located in Sandown, close at hand to the famous sandy beaches, the pier and the attractions of this popular resort. The hotel offers en-suite rooms with TV and tea and coffee-making facilities, a bar, restaurant and comfortable lounges.
Shanklin Beach Hotel, Shanklin (JG2+ rating)
The Shanklin Beach Hotel is located on Shanklin’s seafront, offering stunning sea views. The contemporary en-suite rooms feature satellite TV and tea and coffee-making facilities. The hotel also offers a bar and restaurant with views of the esplanade.
Burlington Hotel, Sandown (2-star rating)
The welcoming Burlington Hotel is situated near the seafront in the resort of Sandown and is one of the resort’s most established and reputable hotels.
Royal Pier Hotel, Sandown (2-star rating)
The family-run Royal Pier Hotel is situated on the seafront in the resort of Sandown, facing one of the most popular beaches on the island. The hotel has an indoor heated pool and spa pool.
Holliers Hotel (2-star rating)
The friendly, family-run Holliers Hotel is a 17th-century coaching inn situated in the heart of the picturesque Old Village of Shanklin. Hotel facilities include a bar and restaurant, and dinners are carvery style.
Please note: the Holliers Hotel has no lift or ground floor rooms and is therefore unsuitable for those with limited mobility.
