From historic port towns and pretty resorts to quaint inland villages, the Isle of Wight is a haven of old-fashioned charm and inspiring scenery. We enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as we explore the island’s highlights, including the capital of Newport and the picturesque resort of Ryde.

Coach Itinerary

Newport & Ryde (half day)
On our half day excursion, we head first to the bustling capital of the island, Newport. This picturesque town centres on two squares with elegant Georgian and Victorian architecture surrounding them. We can explore the historic quayside or browse the selection of speciality shops here. We continue on to the seaside resort of Ryde with its long stretch of golden sand, pretty esplanade, marina and beautiful gardens.

Godshill (half day)
For our second half day excursion, we visit the pretty inland village of Godshill with its charming thatched-roofed cottages, delightful medieval church and gift shops.  Here we can explore the model village, a scaled down replica of Godshill, or enjoy one of the delightful tea rooms.

Optional Excursion
Cowes, Yarmouth & Ventnor – £10pp (full day)
Our optional excursion takes us first to Cowes, home to the world-famous regatta. Many of the town’s ornate buildings date from Queen Victoria’s time, in the style popularised by her consort Prince Albert.  Next is the historic port town of Yarmouth which contains some of the oldest architecture on the island including a 16th-century castle. Finally we visit Ventnor, a pretty resort built on a series of terraces.
