Isle of Wight – Going Solo
Included Excursions
Newport & Sandown
We start our excursion in the bustling capital of the island, Newport. This picturesque town centres on two squares surrounded by elegant Georgian and Victorian architecture and we have time to explore the historic quayside or browse the selection of speciality shops here. We continue on to Sandown, known for its golden sands which stretches all the way along the esplanade. It’s the perfect place to take in the brisk sea air and enjoy the views of the pier and the seafront.
Ryde
We spend some time in the pretty town of Ryde with its long stretch of beach, pretty esplanade, marina and beautiful gardens. Take a stroll along the famous 19th-century pier, the oldest in England, or admire the many boats moored in the town’s busy harbour with a cone of chips in hand.
Round the Island tour (£14pp)
Join an optional Island Highlights tour to discover more of the island’s sights, including the historic port town of Yarmouth, with its charming harbour, lovely eateries and wooden pier, plus the rocky outcrop of ‘The Needles’, the Isle of Wight’s most iconic location.
