Be a part of a once-in-a-lifetime event and join us for the 100-year anniversary of one of the world’s most famous steam trains, the Flying Scotsman. On this spectacular trip we get to be a part of history and share in a locomotive experience that has been delighting passengers since the 1920s as we travel on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway behind the Flying Scotsman in celebration of its landmark century of service. With hotel accommodation and return coach travel included, there’s never been a better time to discover the enduring appeal and impressive legacy of this storied steam engine.

Coach Itinerary

Day 1

From a morning pickup in your local area we make our way to travel by coach to the Worth Valley in Yorkshire where we board our train behind the magnificent locomotive, the Flying Scotsman for a picturesque steam-hauled journey on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway. Our 75-minute journey takes in the breathtakingly rugged views of the Yorkshire countryside as well as a series of lovingly preserved heritage railway stations including Damems, England’s smallest narrow-gauge railway station and Oakworth, the filming location of the 1970 film The Railway Children. To make your journey extra special there’s the chance to upgrade to your ticket to either Premium Class (complete with complimentary cream tea) or Pullman Class (offering elegant carriages with traditional décor and a cream tea to enjoy in the most comfortable seats on the train). Afterwards we check in at our hotel in time for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 2

Following breakfast at the hotel we spend time at a town or site of interest, depending on the location of your hotel and the route of our journey home.
