Description

Join us as we explore the Scottish capital of Edinburgh, where centuries of history meet a vibrant, cosmopolitan city in an unforgettable setting. Coach Itinerary

Edinburgh (full day)
We spend the day in Scotland’s vibrant capital city Edinburgh, dominated by the iconic castle perched high above the city. From the picturesque sights of the old town, the sprawl of attractions on the Royal Mile and the grandeur of George Street, with its many boutique shops, cafés and restaurants, there’s a wealth of things to do.

Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway, Falkirk Wheel & Union Canal Boat Trip (full day)
This morning we board our train on the heritage Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway and enjoy a picturesque journey admiring the beautiful Scottish scenery along the shores of the River Forth. We then head to Falkirk where we embark on a 50 minute boat trip starting at the Falkirk Wheel, a rotating boat lift built for the Millennium that lifts the boat up to join the Union Canal 35 metres above, sailing smoothly from the Falkirk Wheel onto the Union Canal before returning to our starting point at the Falkirk Wheel Visitor Centre.

Loch Lomond (full day)
We travel to the beautiful shores of Loch Lomond, the largest expanse of fresh water on mainland Britain with more than 30 islands. The loch is situated amidst one of Scotland’s most idyllic and unspoilt areas in the Trossachs National Park and boasts a stunning mountain backdrop and a great variety of wildlife.

En-route visit to Kendal
On the way to our hotel in East Kilbride, we stop off in the market town of Kendal, the southern gateway to the Lake District and home of the famous Kendal mint cake.
