Coach Itinerary
Day 1
After joining the coach, we make our way to the Imperial Hotel in Eastbourne and check in.
Day 2 – Hastings & Battle
Today we head first to Hastings, a coastal town which boasts the remains of the first castle in England to be built by William the Conqueror and a lovely preserved Old Town with half-timbered houses and narrow streets. We then continue to Battle, aptly named as the scene of William the Conqueror’s famous victory in 1066.
Back at our hotel, we let the good times roll with an afternoon tea dance.
Day 3 – Optional excursion to Lewes & Alfriston (£8pp)
On our optional half-day excursion we make for the bustling market town of Lewes, surrounded by chalk cliffs in the South Downs. There are many historic buildings to admire including the Norman castle, and the ‘twittens’; the twisting narrow lanes which provide a reminder of the town’s quaint medieval street plan.
We continue on to the picturesque village of Alfriston. Nestled in the valley of the River Cuckmere, it is full of charming old buildings, gift shops, tearooms and traditional inns.
Later we return to our hotel to enjoy our movie afternoon.
Day 4
After breakfast, we check out and board the coach for the journey home.
Please note: the order of the hotel’s entertainment programme is subject to change.
