Coach Itinerary
23rd December
After joining the coach, we make our way to our hotel and check in.
Christmas Eve – Caernarfon & Betws-y-Coed
Our first visit is to Caernarfon, a royal town and port in Gwynedd. Don’t miss Wales’ most famous castle here, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in the 13th century by Edward I as a royal palace and military fortress.
We continue to Betws-y-Coed, famously known as the ‘gateway to Snowdonia’. Situated in the Conwy valley, this pretty village has many independent shops to explore and is a must-see destination with picturesque bridges over rushing rivers, surrounded by beautiful alpine-like woodland.
Christmas Day
Christmas Day is a day of relaxation and leisure, where our hotel provides festive entertainment and a hearty Christmas lunch with all the trimmings followed by Christmas cake, tea and coffee. A light buffet dinner is served in the evening.
Boxing Day –Isle of Anglesey
On Boxing Day we head out for adventure on the Isle of Anglesey, located just off the mainland’s northwest coast. We travel over the 19th-century Menai Suspension Bridge to get to the medieval town of Beaumaris, renowned for its impressive castle. There is much to discover within the town, from the historic gaol and the charming Penny Farthing sweet shop to the delightful pier, which boasts spectacular views stretching out to Snowdonia.
We then stop in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, the longest town name in Europe, which translates as ʻSt. Mary's Church in the hollow of white hazel near a rapid whirlpool and the Church of St. Tysilio near the red cave'! Enjoy a refreshing stroll round the quiet streets, snap a picture with the town’s famous sign, head to the local pub or browse the selection of hand-crafted goods on offer in the shops here.
27th December
After breakfast, we check out of our hotel and head for home.
