You’re invited to spend Christmas with us at the grand Bosworth Hall Hotel, nestled in the pretty Leicestershire countryside and set in a 17^th-century mansion, with original features and a fantastic leisure club. Just imagine enjoying a hassle-free Christmas lunch with all the trimmings as well as nightly entertainment and included excursions in the heart of England! With its cosy pubs and historic streets, Stamford is a lovely place to discover, while our Boxing Day trip to Shakespeare's Stratford-upon-Avon offers an enchanting peek into the past among half-timbered houses and festive decorations.

After joining the coach, we make our way to our hotel and check in.

24 December

Our Christmas Eve excursion takes us to the picturesque market town of Stamford, widely regarded as one of the finest stone towns in England, with a variety of 17^th and 18^th-century stone buildings, secret alleyways peppered with alehouses and no fewer than five medieval parish churches. It’s no wonder that Stamford has formed the backdrop for TV costume drama Middlemarch and the 2005 film adaptation of Pride & Prejudice! Later on, there is the option to attend Midnight Mass for those who wish to join, with mulled wine and mince pies on our return.

25 December

Christmas Day is a lovely day of celebration as our hotel provides a hearty Christmas lunch with all the trimmings followed by Christmas cake, tea and coffee plus a light buffet dinner in the evening.

26 December

On Boxing Day, we head to Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare’s birthplace and a busy, attractive Tudor town of timbered buildings and, of course, famous theatres. Fans of the Bard can visit the house in which he was born and there’s a chance for a refreshing riverside stroll before warming up in a cosy café.

27 December

After breakfast, we check out of our hotel and head for home.

The Bosworth Hall Hotel is situated in the heart of the Leicestershire countryside, approximately half a mile from Market Bosworth. Set in 11 acres of landscaped gardens, this 17^th-century mansion still boasts original features including an oak-panelled main hall with a Tudor stone fireplace. Hotel facilities include a bar, restaurant and leisure club with indoor pool, sauna, steam room and gym (small charge applies).
