Hampton Court - Florimania, Surrey
Friday 29 March 2019
This magnificent red brick Tudor Palace was built by Cardinal Wolsey in 1520 for King Henry VIII. Visit England's last and greatest medieval hall with its fine tapestries and walk in the footsteps of this great king. See a recreation of his crown in the Royal Pew and explore the Tudor kitchens and let them take you back to a heyday of royal cooking and entertainment. We include a voucher for a hot lunch which can be taken at your leisure before you are then invited into the world-famous gardens which include acres of spectacular formal gardens and parkland, all set within a loop of the River Thames. Enjoy an amazing extravaganza of colourful floral displays inspired by five centuries of history at this special event. The gardens are home to the world's oldest maze, a record-breaking grape vine, over 1 million flowering bulbs and a huge variety of wildlife, including the descendants of Henry VIII's deer herd.
