Your Itinerary:FULL DAY: The Cotswolds (Moreton-in-Marsh & Stow-on-the-Wold)
Today we head deep into the Cotswolds with its lush meadows, meandering rivers, proud market towns and some of the most picture-perfect honey-coloured stone villages in middle England. First to Moreton-in-Marsh, where there is an opportunity to explore the huge Tuesday market, a celebrated weekly event, which takes over the High Street. We continue to Stow-on-the-Wold, where there is time to explore the ancient market square surrounded by dozens of independent antique shops before completing our day in Broadway, a delightful place often referred to as the ‘Jewel of the Cotswolds’.
FULL DAY: Warwick Castle
A marvellous day in store as we head to Warwick to visit the magnificent castle, built by William the Conqueror and where you can discover over 1,100 years of history at Britain’s Ultimate Historical Experience. Enjoy action-packed live shows, explore the stunning castle, grounds and gardens or just relax in the surroundings that have played a crucial role in shaping British history.
FULL DAY: Stratford-upon-Avon & River Avon cruise
To historic Stratford-upon-Avon, where the preserved birthplace of William Shakespeare remains as a museum in the centre of the town and the memory of the Bard is alive on every street corner. This afternoon we include a cruise on the River Avon as the sights of Stratford ease by.
