Your Itinerary:

SATURDAY: From your home we collect you with our Door to Door Service and transfer you to your tour coach. Soon you are on you way to cross the English Channel and onwards to our overnight stop in Germany.

SUNDAY: We continue south through Germany and into Austria, arriving in Igls late afternoon and the Bon Alpina Hotel for our five night stay.

MONDAY: Today visit Innsbruck, the capital of the Tyrol surrounded by the high Alps and divided by the Inn River. The Old Town is magnificent with highlights such as the famous Golden Roof, the Maria Theresia Street, the Wilten Basilica and St James Cathedral. This afternoon we ascend the Nordkette mountain range aboard the Nordkettenbahn cable car. At the summit take in the fabulous views of the range, and enjoy an included, unique ‘Cloud 9’ nonalcoholic cocktail.

TUESDAY: Enjoy a day at leisure in Igls today, soaking in the alpine atmosphere and relaxed environment. Alternatively embark on a scenic cable car ride or perhaps take a local bus to explore the surrounding area with more time in Innsbruck possible with a short 10 minute journey.

WEDNESDAY: To the Inn Valley this morning and to Jenbach to board the original Achenseebahn Cog Railway, dating back to 1889 and the oldest cog railway in Europe. The train winds its way through the valley and up to 16% gradients as it heads to the shores of Lake Achen, the largest Alpine lake in the Tyrol. From here we make a short journey by coach to Pertisau where we board a boat to cruise the azure blue waters to the northern shores of the lake at Scholastika.

THURSDAY: This morning we cross the border for a day of touring in Bavaria. We visit the town of Oberammergau, renowned for its once in a decade passion-play season before we visit the nearby, beautiful Ettal Abbey, a Benedictine monastery situated between rising wooded hillsides amid the Ammergau Alps. We conclude our day in the Bavarian town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, two towns united in 1935 – Garmisch offering a more fashionable air to Partenkirchen’s traditional Barvarian cobblestone alleys.

FRIDAY: This morning we say farewell to our Tyrolean hosts and return into Germany and onward to our overnight hotel.

SATURDAY: Our Tyrolean adventure comes to a close as we cross the Channel before our Door to Door Service returns you safely home.
