Turkey and tinsel holidays on the Isle of Wight offer lots of festive fun and fayre with three excursions included to Ryde, the Shanklin, and a full tour of the island. The Turkey and Tinsel break stays in the Royal Pier Hotel in Sandown situated on the seafront facing one of the finest award-winning and perhaps the most popular beach on the island. With its lovely sweeping bay and miles of golden sandy beaches and retaining much of its Victorian atmosphere, Sandown has a pier, seaside cafés, and lovely walks by the sea wall to neighbouring Shanklin and along the cliffs to Culver Down for panoramic views of the Channel.

Full Day: Round the Island Tour
Today we take you to all the highlights of the Isle of wight on a tour of the island.
Half Day: Ryde
A half day excursion to Ryde, a delightful 18th century town and holiday resort with spectacular views across the Solent to the mainland, spacious sandy beaches, excellent boutique shopping and a host of independent eateries.
Half Day: Shanklin Old Village
Along the coast road to Shanklin Old Village – a real picture postcard setting which consists mainly of stone-built cottages and houses, many with thatched roofs, well-tended gardens, pubs, restaurants and gift shops.
Turkey & Tinsel Programme
MONDAY: It’s Christmas Eve – From local departure points relax, get to know your fellow holidaymakers, and enjoy the comfortable coach journey to the venue of your choice. Before dinner you are invited to a welcome reception with your hosts and, after dinner, relax in the bar or lounge and enjoy a drink with your new-found friends.
TUESDAY: It’s Christmas Day – Start this ‘Christmas’ day with a leisurely breakfast then sit back and enjoy a full day excursion before returning for one of the highlights of the week... a full ‘Christmas’ dinner with all the festive trimmings and a visit from Santa! After dinner enjoy a night of festive entertainment.
WEDNESDAY: It’s Boxing Day – After breakfast, board your coach for a full day sightseeing excursion before returning to the hotel. In the evening look forward to a Boxing Day dinner followed by festive entertainment.
THURSDAY: It’s New Year’s Eve – After breakfast, board your coach for a leisurely half day sightseeing excursion before returning to the hotel. In the evening look forward to a special New Year’s Eve dinner followed by entertainment to see in the ‘New Year’!
FRIDAY: Fond Farewells – After breakfast it’s time to make our way home.

Pick-Up Information
We have introduced improvements to our network of local pick up points across eastern, central and southern England, aimed at shortening your journey times and getting you away on holiday more easily and conveniently, meaning an altogether more relaxing start. We now have two pick up regions so your travel days will be more convenient, providing more efficient journeys, meeting your tour manager and fellow travellers earlier and in most cases arriving in resort earlier.
The Tour Ref on the holiday tab indicates whether the tour departs from Area A or Area B by having either an A or B at the end. For example, GUK5A would be a tour departing from Area A.
Traveling from Departure Area A: Our new and improved network means for all UK and Ireland holidays you join your tour coach at our interchange area at Northampton Services on the M1, at junction 15A.
Travelling from Departure Area B: Our new and improved network means for all UK and Ireland holidays you join your tour coach at our interchange area at Beaconsfield Services on the M40, at junction 2.
