The most glamorous of all West Country resorts, Torquay offers a unique international flavour with its palm trees, bustling harbour, and miles of coastal walks, and it is the perfect place to indulge in some pre-festive fun before Christmas arrives.
And we include three excursions too, taking in the best of the surrounding area. Plymouth is known as Britain's 'Ocean City' and offers plenty of winter charm for visitors, with festive lights sparkling across the city's waterfront, while Totnes is an old market town, which is still a working port for seagoing vessels. We also visit lovely Exeter, an ancient city on the River Exe, which has so much to offer visitors. Including the Exeter Christmas Market, which will be available to visit on our December tour.

FULL DAY: Exeter
We head to Exeter, one of the oldest cities in England, and situated close to the Jurassic Coast, which offers a backdrop of rolling hills and rocky coastline. For a small city, it packs quite a punch, and its historical influences are evident, from its striking cathedral to the Roman ruins and Georgian facades. The city is also home to the famous Exeter Christmas Market, offering you the chance for some last-minute Christmas shopping. Please note: The Exeter Christmas market is not open on the 3rd November tour date.
HALF DAY: Totnes
We spend some time in Totnes, a market town situated at the mouth of the River Dart Estuary and located within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
EXTENDED HALF DAY: Plymouth
Today, we head to Plymouth, famous for its rich maritime history and a cultural hub with many award-winning museums and waterside attractions. The Barbican is the city's old port and is a delight to explore, featuring narrow, cobbled streets lined with art galleries, cafes, shops and restaurants.
