Itinerary

Your Itinerary

DAY 1: From local joining points we make our way across the Channel and on to our overnight stop in time for dinner.

DAY 2: We continue our journey south to reach Strasbourg and join the MS Monet. This evening enjoy welcome cocktails and dinner before our ship eases away from Strasbourg and begins to cruise downstream overnight.

DAY 3: We continue cruising this morning to reach the popular tourist centre of Rudesheim over lunch. This afternoon we include an excursion to discover the vineyards surrounding Rudesheim as our land-train and guide details the rich history of the region. Returning to the town we visit the famous Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Museum, dedicated to unusual self-playing instruments, dating back three centuries. Afterwards enjoy free time to explore the famous Drosselgasse - a narrow lane crammed with friendly wine taverns.

DAY 4: This morning we cruise through the most spectacular part of the Rhine Gorge to reach Koblenz at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. Discover Koblenz with an included guided tour and visit the majestic Ehrenbreitstein Castle, towering high above the Rhine.

DAY 5: This morning we begin our cruise upstream, passing vineyard strewn riverbanks and pretty villages to reach the ancient town of Mainz, founded by the Romans more than 2,000 years ago. Our included excursion reveals the old town and includes admission to the Gutenberg Museum, housing two copies of the Gutenberg Bible.

DAY 6: This morning is spent cruising to reach the old town of Rastatt by lunch. This afternoon we head to the fascinating town of Baden-Baden at the gateway to the Black Forest, where a guided tour reveals the unique atmosphere of this former spa town. We return to our ship in time for this evenings gala dinner before we gently cruise overnight to complete our journey back to Strasbourg.

DAY 7: After breakfast we disembark in Strasbourg for our return journey to Calais and onwards for a late arrival back home.
