Your Itinerary:FULL DAY: Black Country Living Museum
Today we head for Dudley to visit the award winning Black Country Living Museum. Covering 26 acres of former industrial land this open-air museum is uniquely placed to tell the story of the world’s first industrial landscape. Black Country folk, some of the most hard working, ingenious and influential people, changed the world at this very special time and place in history and you get to explore the many aspects of the museum at leisure, from the Victorian School Room and trams to the trolley cars, underground coalmine and authentic shops, houses and workshops.
FULL DAY: National Memorial Arboretum & Lichfield
A full day tour to visit the National Memorial Arboretum – 150 acres of trees and memorials dedicated to the concept of Remembrance with 130 memorials of national significance. This afternoon to Lichfield where the magnificent three spired cathedral is well worth a visit.
FULL DAY: Ironbridge
We head to Ironbridge, birthplace of the Industrial Revolution and site of the world’s first iron bridge, built across the River Severn between 1711-81. We explore the valley, and of course have the opportunity to cross the bridge itself.
