FULL DAY: Sheringham and a ride on the North Norfolk Railway
Through the Norfolk countryside to the market town of Holt with its unique cafés and independent shops. Here we join the North Norfolk Railway and steam to the coast and the delightful little resort of Sheringham with its fishermen’s cottages, seaside shops and fine sandy beach.
FULL DAY: Bressingham Steam Museum & Gardens
This morning we visit Bressingham Steam Museum & Gardens. Here you can take a trip on one or all of the four narrow gauge railways, get close-up to mighty steam engines in the locomotive shed, ride on the magnificent and historic gallopers, wander through the main street of Walmington-on-Sea - home to a collection of Dad's Army displays and vehicles - or explore the unique 17-acre gardens.
FULL DAY: Wroxham & Norwich
Today we drive through the Norfolk Broads to reach Wroxham - 'Gateway to the Broads' - where we enjoy a ride on the Bure Valley Heritage Railway. It’s a wonderful journey through the Norfolk countryside, following the meandering River Bure past tranquil meadowland and ancient pastures to the ancient market town of Aylsham. This afternoon we reach the historic city of Norwich, where you can explore the medieval lanes, superb shopping centres, or visit the famous Norman cathedral.
