5 Days | Half Board | by Coach
Highlights: St David’s, Tenby, The Mumbles, Cardigan, Cenarth, Gower Peninsula, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park
The south-western coast of Wales is one of the least explored, and most unspoilt, parts of Britain. Known as ‘Little England beyond Wales’, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park hosts some of the finest beaches and lovely rolling countryside imaginable. Further round the coast, the Gower Peninsula captivates all who visit it, being the first place in Britain to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.
Itinerary
Excursions
FULL DAY: This morning we head to St David’s, the smallest 'city' in Britain, afforded the title by Queen Elizabeth because of the presence of the cathedral.
We continue to Cardigan with its delightful Welsh character before returning via Cenarth, where the River Teifi thunders through a series of waterfalls.
FULL DAY: Today we visit Tenby which boasts two beautiful beaches, separated by the harbour and Castle Hill. The remnants of old town walls and archways along with a cosy town centre, with narrow lanes and alleyways, make it a delight to explore.
HALF DAY: An extended half day to explore the beautiful Gower Peninsula, stopping at the Mumbles, located on a five mile stretch of Swansea Bay and retaining its Victorian seaside charm with its piers and long promenade before we continue around this rocky and secluded peninsula, a land of limestone cliffs, remote bays and miles of golden sands.
