DAY 4: This morning we wake to the remote isles of the Shetlands. After breakfast on board we meet our experienced guide for a tour of the northern isles of Yell and Unst.
Passing the vast oil terminal of Sullom Voe we cross by ferry to Yell and visit the Old Haa Museum - full of unusual artefacts from Shetland life. We continue to Unst where
the beautiful beaches are a highlight. We include a light lunch before viewing Muckle Flugga – the northern most tip of the British Isles before completing our day with a visit
to Skidbladner, a replica Viking Long Ship that would have reached these shores. We return to check in to the Shetland Hotel in Lerwick for our two night stay.
DAY 5: Cameras at the ready today as we tour the south and west mainland. We begin with a coastal tour towards the RSPB reserve at Sumburgh Head, pausing at
the delightful beach at Rerwick, a mix of golden sand, cliffs and seabird colonies. We continue to the large archaeological site of Jarlshof before visiting the Croft
House Museum. This afternoon we look out for famous Shetland ponies in the Tingwall Valley before finishing in Scalloway, the former capital of Shetland with its 15th
century castle dominating the skyline.
DAY 6: We start the day on the west of the island to Voe and Brae to the 'Drongs' - a spectacular series of sea stacks. We also visit the Tangwick Haa Museum, exhibiting
the crafting and fishing history of the island, before taking a guided tour of the Shetland Jewellery Workshop and viewing the Wormadale Viewpoint for one last glimpse
of Western Shetland. After some free time in Lerwick we board our ferry for the overnight crossing back to Aberdeen.
DAY 7: We disembark after breakfast and take the coastal road south passing St Cyrus Beach to Dundee. Here we include a visit to the new and impressive V&A Museum
before we continue to our overnight hotel.

the north of England.
