Blackpool Illumination – A brilliant arrangement of lights that stretches over 7 miles long along the seafront. The illuminations attract visitors between late August and early November when all the other seaside destinations in Britain become quieter. Every year, Blackpool nominates a famous person to switch the lights on.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach – Located along the Fylde coast, Blackpool Pleasure Beach is the most visited amusement park in Britain. The amusement park also makes it in the top 20 most visited list in the world! Following the launch of a 4 star hotel in 2003 the park was officially recognised as a resort.
Blackpool Tower – Inspired by the Eiffel Tower, Blackpool towers stands at 518 feet with leisure facilities, restaurants and other entertainment venues beneath and surrounding it. It takes 7 years to paint it from top to bottom and the lift travels 3500 miles per year.
Blackpool Tower Ballroom – The Tower Ballroom is world famous for its unique sprung dance floor and spectacular architecture and remains to this day a destination for dance fans across the globe. The original Blackpool Tower Ballroom was a smaller pavilion opened in August 1894. The present Ballroom opened in 1899. The Ballroom floor measures 120 feet by 102 feet.
North Pier – Located on the north of the other two piers in Blackpool, the pier is famous for its shopping arcade, North Pier Theatre and a traditional tramway.
