Scenic Snapshots Of Scotland
8 days Half Board by Coach
Enjoy a wonderfully scenic journey of discovery through the rugged North West Highlands and the genteel glens of Speyside and Deeside, exploring the many faces and landscapes of Scotland in this new two centre holiday. Beginning on the East Coast we explore the landscapes of Deeside, so revered by Royalty, before crossing the tranquil Spey Valley to climb deep into the Highlands and the remote North-West shores. With contrasting scenery, memorable vistas, and unforgettable coastlines, this holiday gives a snapshot of Scotland at its very finest.
Overnight stops included.

Sunday: From local departure points we journey north for an overnight stop.
Monday: Across the Scottish border and onwards to our hotel in Aberdeen for two nights.
Tuesday: A scenic full day excursion into Deeside today, a favourite of the Royal Family since the days of Queen Victoria. We reach the tourist centre of Ballater with many Royal associations before passing famous Balmoral Castle and little Crathie Church to arrive in Braemar, home to the historic Highland Games.
Wednesday: Leaving Aberdeen we tour through pretty Speyside, before we reach Inverness. We continue north across the dramatic West Highlands to Ullapool for our three night stay.
Thursday: A very scenic full day excursion by the remote Destitution Road, lonely bays and empty beaches to reach the little tourist centre of Gairloch, looking over the sea to Skye and the magnificent views alongside Loch Maree. We return via Inverewe Gardens, a horticultural oasis in the North Western Highlands.
Friday: An extended half day tour through the bleak and beautiful North Western Highlands via Laxford Bridge to reach the small town of Durness, once a crofting village perched on the far northern shores of Scotland.
Saturday: We leave Scotland behind for an overnight stop in the north of England.
Sunday: Our tour draws to a close with the journey homeward.
