Your Excursions

FULL DAY: We head to Ironbridge, birthplace of the Industrial Revolution and site of the world’s first iron bridge, built across the River Severn between 1711-81. We explore the valley, and of course have the opportunity to cross the bridge itself, before visiting the fascinating museum of Blists Hill Victorian Town.

FULL DAY: This morning to Shrewsbury, one of England’s finest Tudor towns. Here we include a delightful cruise on the River Severn before enjoying some time for sightseeing. We return through the heart of Shropshire, surrounded by the Long Mynd and Wenlock Edge.

FULL DAY: This morning to pretty Bridgnorth, in reality two towns - the low town beside the River Severn and the castled high town, connected by the steepest inland funicular railway in Britain. Afterwards to the border town of Ludlow, one of Britain’s loveliest medieval towns.
