Today we make our way to Whitby, a picturesque fishing town and resort combined, set beneath a ruined Abbey. From here we climb into the moors and deep valleys of ‘Heartbeat’ country to visit Goathland, the village made popular from the renowned TV series, completing our day in the market town of Pickering.
FULL DAY: York
A full day excursion to the historic city of York. There is plenty of free time to explore this favourite tourist city, and with so much to see - the majestic Minster, a walk along the old Roman walls, the Shambles, the Jorvik Centre and the National Railway Museum are all worth considering.
HALF DAY: Bridlington
We drive along the Heritage Coast to visit the resort of Bridlington with its sandy beaches and bustling harbour.
