bounded by the North York Moors and the rolling pastures of the Yorkshire Wolds. The town itself straddles two majestic bays and is dominated by an impressive headland, capped by a Norman castle. There are acres of spacious gardens, cliff top walks, a colourful working harbour, spa complex with frequent shows and concerts, a renowned theatre and lots of traditional seaside activities and entertainment.

Full day: Today we make our way to Whitby, a picturesque fishing town and resort combined, set beneath a ruined Abbey. From here we climb into the moors and deep valleys of ‘Heartbeat’ country to visit Goathland, the village made popular from the renowned TV series. From here you can take an optional ride on the North York Moors Railway (seasonal) to the market town of Pickering.
Full day: A full day excursion to the historic city of York. There is plenty of free time to explore this favourite tourist city, and with so much to see - the majestic Minster, a walk along the old Roman walls, the Shambles, the Jorvik Centre and the National Railway Museum are all worth considering.
Half day: To Flamborough Head to admire the cliffs and sea views before visiting the resort of Bridlington.
