Today we head for the Lake District National Park and driving along the banks of Lake Ullswater we come to the Kirkstone Pass with its magnificent views of Lakeland. Continuing on we arrive in Bowness-on-Windermere, where we enjoy a cruise on the famous waters of Lake Windermere.
HALF DAY: Bury Market & the East Lancashire Steam Railway
This morning we make our way to Bury Market, the largest in England, before we then board the East Lancashire Steam Railway to Rawtenstall, hugging the Irwell Valley.
FULL DAY: Lancaster & River Lune Cruise
This morning we head for Lancaster with time to explore this small but interesting city. This afternoon we drive into the surrounding countryside to take a cruise on the delightful River Lune, offering a relaxing angle of the Lancashire scenery
