Your ItineraryFULL DAY: Bowness, Kirkstone Pass and Southern Lakelands
To the Southern Lakelands, and Lake Windermere, with the opportunity of an optional lake cruise. Enjoy some free time in the popular tourist haunt of Bowness before we ascend the magnificent Kirkstone Pass to Ullswater and continue on to the busy market town of Kendal on the banks of the lovely River Kent, and home to the popular mint cake.
FULL DAY: Kirkby Lonsdale, Yorkshire Dales & Wensleydale Cheese Company
This morning we head to Kirkby Lonsdale, deep in the Lune Valley, before continuing on through the Yorkshire Dales National Park to the beautiful scenery of Wensleydale. Here we stop at Hawes, famous for its local cheese making and the well-known Wensleydale Cheese Company where you are able to discover how they make their world-famous produce and taste it too!
HALF DAY: Lancaster
To nearby Lancaster, the proud county town of Lancashire on the River Lune, before returning via the ‘steam’ town of Carnforth, forever associated with the film ‘Brief Encounter’
