The seaside resort of Morecambe is an easy-going seaside retreat with an entirely different ambience to that of its close neighbour, Blackpool. With a panoramic promenade and monument to its most famous son - Eric Morecambe - along with its traditional seaside attractions, Morecambe is also perfectly placed to explore the enchanting Lake District and the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.

Excursions
FULL DAY: To the Southern Lakelands today, and Lake Windermere. Enjoy some free time in the popular tourist haunt of Bowness before we continue on to the busy market town of Kendal on the banks of the lovely River Kent and home to the popular mint cake.
FULL DAY: This morning we head to Kirkby Lonsdale, deep in the Lune Valley, before continuing on through the Yorkshire Dales National Park
to the beautiful scenery of Wensleydale. Here we stop at Hawes, famous for its local cheese making and the well known Wensleydale Cheese
Company where you are able to discover how they make their world-famous produce and taste it too!
HALF DAY: To nearby Lancaster, the proud county town of Lancashire on the River Lune, before returning via the ‘steam’ town of Carnforth, forever associated with the film ‘Brief Encounter’.
EVENING: In September and October we include a drive through the famous Blackpool Illuminations.
