Once at the heart of the great cotton trade in the North of England, where the great factories of weavers clothed the nation, the rich past can still be seen in the buildings of Bradford and the surrounding Yorkshire villages. But most breathtaking is the scenery and on this tour you get to enjoy the fabric of the Yorkshire Dales by boat and rail, as well as discovering the wonderful story of one of Bradford’s most famous sons.

Excursions
FULL DAY: Today we head for the Lake District National Park and driving along the banks of Lake Ullswater we come to the Kirkstone Pass with its magnificent views of Lakeland.
FULL DAY: Today we head for Skipton to explore the colourful market. We then head into the Dales through Grassington, a picturesque village known for its charming cobbled streets and stone cottages.
HALF DAY: A half day excursion to the elegant resort of Southport with its magnificent pier, extensive golden sands and famous Lord Street, one of the finest thoroughfares in the country.

Every one of our coach holidays includes the services of a coach driver and is always fully escorted by a knowledgeable Tour Manager, they are on hand every day and night and stay in the same hotel to ensure your holiday is stress-free.

The Tour Ref below indicates whether the tour departs from Area A or Area B by having either an A or B at the end. For example, GUK5A would be a tour departing from Area A.

Travelling from Departure Area B: Our new and improved network means for all UK and Ireland holidays you join your tour coach at our interchange area at Beaconsfield Services on the M40, at junction 2.
