Discover two of the finest cities in Eastern Europe, crammed full of history, architecture and culture with their own individual flavour. Krakow - a UNESCO World Heritage Site - boasts a painstakingly restored medieval centre with a wealth of grand squares and alleys bustling with cafes and speciality shops. Prague in contrast, on the banks of the wide River Vltava, is world renowned as the ‘city of a hundred spires’ and is a joy to explore. Differing sights but similar stories of great historical prowess and great tragedy await on this wonderful 12 day adventure through the heart of Eastern Europe.

Monday: From local joining points we cross the Channel and make our way to our overnight hotel near Bonn.
Tuesday: We continue across Germany to Dresden for our overnight stop.
Wednesday: Into Poland this morning we reach Krakow by mid afternoon and our hotel for four nights.
Thursday: A thought-provoking visit to Auschwitz, where this former concentration camp is preserved as a lasting memorial of the atrocities undertaken across Poland.
Friday: A comprehensive guided coach and walking tour of Krakow that reveals the soul and history, helping you to familiarise yourself with this fascinating city.
Saturday: A day at leisure to explore Krakow, perhaps taking in Wawel Castle, the majestic Cloth Hall and the many elegant squares.
Sunday: We leave Krakow this morning and make a short visit to Katowice before we cross into the Czech Republic, making our way to Prague for three nights.
Monday: A guided tour of Prague by coach and foot as your local expert reveals the splendour of this remarkable city.
Tuesday: At leisure to enjoy Prague at your own pace, from the remarkable 14th Century Charles Bridge to the resplendent Old Royal Palace and famous old town square.
Wednesday: Today we leave Prague and return across the border to Germany, reaching our hotel near Wurzburg.
Thursday: A morning to explore Wurzburg before we continue through Germany to our final overnight stop near Duren.
Friday: We make our way homeward.
