HIGHLIGHTS: Spectacular Kyle Line, Struie Hill, Bonar Bridge, Shin Falls, Dornoch, Cromarty Firth, Sensational Highland scenery
Tucked away amidst the stunning Highland glens and mountains, the pretty spa town of Strathpeffer is really no more than a village, yet still retains an air of gentility which it acquired in its Victorian heyday. Although the spa buildings still entertain the occasional customer, visitors are drawn to Strathpeffer today as a perfect touring base for the majestic mountain and loch scenery which characterise this beautiful corner of Scotland.
PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.
Itinerary
Excursions
SUNDAY: From local departure points we make our way to our overnight hotel.
MONDAY: Crossing the border we climb through the Grampian Mountains to reach Strathpeffer and our base for four nights.
TUESDAY: A day at leisure to enjoy the pretty resort of Strathpeffer.
WEDNESDAY: A highlight of the holiday today as we board the spectacular Kyle Line for a rail journey across the North West Highlands. This enchanting journey winds its way to the Kyle of Lochalsh where we re-board our coach, returning through scenic Glen Shiel and along the shores of fabled Loch Ness.
THURSDAY: A full day tour today as we head for the Cromarty Firth, along its banks to the historic town of Dornoch with its wonderful little cathedral, before returning via Shin Falls, Bonar Bridge and Struie Hill with marvellous views over the Kyles of Sutherland.
FRIDAY: Today we leave Strathpeffer and head south on our way to our overnight hotel.
SATURDAY: We return home to our original departure points.

For 2024 we have introduced improvements to our network of local pick up points across the eastern, central and southern England, aimed at shortening your journey times and getting you away on holiday more easily and conveniently, meaning an altogether more relaxing start. We now have two pick up regions so your travel days will be more convenient, providing more efficient journeys, meeting your tour manager and fellow travellers earlier and in most cases arriving in resort earlier, please refer to our Pick-ups section below for more details.
The Tour Ref below indicates whether the tour departs from Area A or Area B by having either an A or B at the end. For example, GUK5A would be a tour departing from Area A.

Traveling from Departure Area A: Be picked up from your free local departure point, and join your tour coach at our interchange area at Northampton Services on the M11, at junction 15A.
Traveling from Departure Area B: Be picked up from your free local departure point, and join your tour coach at our interchange area at Beaconsfield Services, M40, junction 2.
