Your Itinerary:

SATURDAY: Your holiday begins with our Door to Door Service, collecting you from home and transferring you to your tour coach. From here we cross the Channel and continue to our overnight stop near Paris.

SUNDAY: We continue through the heart of France, taking in a visit to the historic city of Orleans, famously liberated by Joan of Arc in 1429. After enjoying some free time we head further south to our second overnight stop.

MONDAY: This morning we pass through the lush green landscapes of the South of France before our first glimpse of the Mediterranean, crossing into Spain and reaching our hotel in Roses, our base for the next seven nights.

TUESDAY: Enjoy the morning to relax and take in your surroundings before this afternoon we take a trip on the Roses Express Land Train into the nearby Cap de Creus Nature Park, a natural wonder abound with soaring cliffs, hidden coves, seabirds and wildlife.

WEDNESDAY: Look forward to a day in France as we make our way to Rivesaltes where we board the Train du Pays Cathare et du Fenouilledes, known as the ‘Little Red Train’ due to its bright crimson paint. With its open top carriages, you can really experience the mountainous scenery as you roll through deep valleys and past mighty peaks, slowly climbing until you reach the quaint hamlet of Axat, where you will have some free time. We make a stop at La Jonquera shopping outlet on our way back to the hotel.

THURSDAY: A day at leisure to take in the joys of Roses at your own pace.

FRIDAY: A further day to relax and unwind in Roses.

SATURDAY: Another thrilling day as we journey on the exciting Vall de Nuria Rack Railway, taking in the beauty of this peaceful oasis as your carriage climbs to the Sanctuary of Nuria. Here you will enjoy some time at leisure before we return by coach.

SUNDAY: Crossing back into France, we travel into the French Pyrenees where we have some time to explore Villefranche-de-Conflent, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most beautiful villages in France. Then it’s all aboard the Little Yellow Train where our carriage climbs upwards, scaling dramatic landscapes to the Pyrenean commune of Mont-Louis. This citadel was built in the seventeenth century to defend the border and is now a World Heritage Site. After time to look around this amazing fortification, we return to our hotel by coach.

MONDAY: We leave Roses behind this morning and return across the border into France and to our overnight hotel.

TUESDAY: Travelling through the heart of France we make our way to our final overnight stop.

WEDNESDAY: We cross the Channel today and head for home, completing our holiday with our Door to Door Service, back to your front door.
