Your Itinerary:

FULL DAY: Peak District National Park, Buxton & Bakewell
First to the lovely spa town of Buxton, located 1,000 feet up and often referred to as the ‘gateway’ to the Peak District National Park, with its 18th century crescents and Regency terraces. We continue to the pretty town of Bakewell, famous for its puddings which are sold in the local bakeries.

HALF DAY: Lincoln
This morning to Lincoln, where the magnificent cathedral is the 3rd largest in Britain, perched on top of a hill and visible for miles around. In this oldest part of the city, the castle was built over the original Roman town whilst the newer shopping area lies at the foot of the aptly named Steep Hill.

HALF DAY: Newark-on-Trent
Today we head for Newark-on-Trent, a delightful market town situated along the River Trent. There is a lovely cobbled market square surrounded by a wealth of historic buildings and interesting streets and shops radiating outwards.

The elegant surroundings of Thoresby Hall, the centrepiece being an 1875 Grade I listed building, are perched on the edge of Sherwood Forest, close to the town of Ollerton. Lovingly restored, the hall brings a touch of grandeur beside the modern bedrooms, spa and facilities you expect with Warner.
