Your ItineraryFULL DAY: Carmarthen & vintage steam train ride along the Gwili Valley
We begin today with a visit to Carmarthen. Nestled on the banks of the River Towy, this is one of the oldest towns in Wales, with a wealth of ancient heritage and modern-day attractions. from here we travel back to a bygone era, as we board our beautifully restored vintage steam train for a ride along the lush Gwili Valley, a hidden gem of Wales with breathtaking views.
FULL DAY: St Davids & Fishguard
Amidst the beauty of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park lies picturesque St Davids, the smallest city in Britain, with its iconic cathedral – an architectural marvel of magnificent stonework and intricate stained-glass windows. Our next visit is to the vibrant coastal town of Fishguard. Perched on rugged cliffs overlooking the Irish Sea, this town is full of character and natural beauty.
HALF DAY: Laugharne, Pendine Sands & Tenby
A morning excursion to Laugharne where the celebrated Welsh poet, Dylan Thomas, lived before we return via Pendine Sands, with its five miles of golden beach, famous for holding the 1920’s speed trials. We return to Tenby for an afternoon to explore at leisure.
