FULL DAY: ChesterWe head to Chester for a fascinating walking tour of this fine city. Led by a qualified local guide, the tour will bring to life more than 2,000 years of history, dating back to the Romans, and includes many of the must-see historic secrets. In the afternoon enjoy some time at leisure to wander the lanes and simply enjoy the city.
FULL DAY: Chatsworth House
Across the rolling hills and valleys of the Peak District today to visit Chatsworth House and its beautiful gardens. Known as the ‘Palace of the Peaks,’ the interior rooms are treasure troves of magnificent furniture and paintings, while the gardens are some of England’s finest.
FULL DAY: Shewsbury and Welshpool
We tour into the glorious Cheshire and Shropshire countryside today as we make our way to Shrewsbury, one of the finest Tudor towns in England. Here we include a delightful cruise on the River Severn before spending some free time in the town. This afternoon we dip our toe across the Welsh border with a short visit to Welshpool before traversing the border on our way back to our hotel.
