YOUR ITINERARY

SUNDAY: We head to our overnight stop. 

MONDAY: To Fort William, our base for the next four nights. 

TUESDAY: We make the short journey to the station for our return journey on the spectacular West Highland Line - one of the great rail journeys of the world, and a truly unforgettable experience. 

WEDNESDAY: A full day excursion to the Isle of Skye. Along the wonderful ‘Road to the Isles’ this morning to catch the ferry from Mallaig across the Sound of Sleet. We tour the Isle of Skye with its unique appeal, its myths and legends, and its vast Scottish heritage, along with magnificent scenery such as deeply indented sea lochs and towering mountains of the Cuillens, before we return by way of the impressive road bridge and passing the much photographed Eilean Donan Castle. 

THURSDAY: To Spean Bridge to view the Commando Memorial, a tribute placed amid the original training grounds and offering spectacular panoramas towards Fort William. We continue to Fort Augustus at the southern most tip of Loch Ness where the Caledonian Canal meets the loch. 

FRIDAY: This morning we depart Fort William to return south to our overnight stop. 

SATURDAY: We head for home.

Joining Your Grand UK Coach Holiday
For 2024 we have introduced improvements to our network of local pick up points across the eastern, central and southern England, aimed at shortening your journey times and getting you away on holiday more easily and conveniently, meaning an altogether more relaxing start. We now have two pick up regions so your travel days will be more convenient, providing more efficient journeys, meeting your tour manager and fellow travellers earlier and in most cases arriving in resort earlier, please refer to our Pick-ups section below for more details.
The Tour Ref below indicates whether the tour departs from Area A or Area B by having either an A or B at the end. For example, GUK5A would be a tour departing from Area A.

Traveling from Departure Area A: Be picked up from your free local departure point, and join your tour coach at our interchange area at Northampton Services on the M11, at junction 15A.

 

Traveling from Departure Area B: Be picked up from your free local departure point, and join your tour coach at our interchange area at Beaconsfield Services, M40, junction 2.
