Nestled on the picturesque East Devon Coast, where the mouth of the River Exe meets the sea, Exmouth has a charm to rival many of its more well known holiday neighbours. Reputed to be the oldest seaside resort in Britain, it has the longest seafront in Devon and Cornwall, with an idyllic esplanade and two miles of golden beach signalling the start of the famous Jurassic Coast.

FULL DAY: We make our way to Forde Abbey & Gardens, showcasing one of the oldest gardens in Britain, dating back 900 years. Step inside and aspects of the house can still be traced back to a time when 12th century Cistercian monks were resident. This afternoon we make our way to Seaton where the River Axe meets the sea.
FULL DAY: Today we head to Bicton Park Botanical Gardens in the picturesque Otter Valley. Spanning 300 years of horticultural history, the gardens are home to many rare and exotic plants. This afternoon we visit Sidmouth, described by John Betjeman as ‘a town caught still in a timeless charm’, with a regency history set beneath the majestic red cliffs of the Jurassic Coast.
FREE DAY TO EXPLORE: Enjoy a leisurely day to explore the delights of Exmouth. Perhaps take a cruise on the River Exe, enjoy the wonderful esplanade and golden sands or take a stroll through the charming streets and alleys of the 18th Century resort.
